I need help picking a setting and Names?

Why don't you just set it on the west side of NYC in the late fifties and have an Anglo and a Puerto Rican gang fight it out? Call them the Jets and the Sharks instead of the Capulets and the Montagues. You could call it "Tony & Maria."
