Was Anyone Surprised At How Adult "Rango" Was?

Loved the dark tone, adult humor, the shoot outs, and the language. When the snake said something like, "...I'll squeeze the damn life out of her," i was thinking, "yeah, a cartoon that doesn't hold back" :) What's more badass than a rattlesnake with a machine gun tail?
