When do prairie rattlesnakes come out of hibernation and what time of day are they most active?

I like in western Nebraska, I been doing a lot of hiking lately that ranges from heavily wooded areas to grasslands. When I would I be most likely to stumble across one. I have protective gear along with common sense and would like to get a picture of one, with a zoom telephoto Lens.
