Why are guys so clueless!!!!!!!!?

I'm in 8th grade and i liked this guys for awhile now and he knows i used to but i dont know if he still does and he laughs at me a little. today we were playing soccer in gym and i missed the goal and he said nice job abby like all sarcasticly does he know i like him or is totally clueless btw he's hot, athletic, and popular and hes going out with the 2nd slut in my grade(i hate her ughhh) but any ways please help i need answers
